Sedum ‘Golden Glow’
Sedum ‘Golden Glow’
Common Name(s)/Synonym(s): Sedum adolphi ‘Golden Glow,’ xGraptosedum ‘Golden Glow’
Origin: This succulent is a hybrid of unknown parentage that has been erroneously considered Sedum adolphi, and it is still found with this name in many collections. At the same time, it has also been distributed as ×Graptosedum 'Golden Glow'. However, the flowers do not show any trait of Graptopetalum, so the plant is most likely a Sedum hybrid.
Description: Sedum 'Golden Glow' is a small succulent shrub that forms loosely clustered rosettes on arching stems. It grows up to 30cm tall with rosettes of up to 6cm in diameter. Leaves are thick, fleshy, and boat-shaped, with a colour that ranges from green and golden yellow to coppery orange. Their tips turn red when exposed to bright sunlight.
Care: This Sedum does best in full sun to filtered shade. They should be planted in a well draining soil, which should be left to dry in between watering.
*These plants are sold/couriered bare root without the pot and soil. All plants are approximately the same size as in the photo, for reference, the pots in the photos are 7.5cm.
