FAQ's

HOW DO I ORDER?

To place your order, simply add the plant species to your cart, followed by the quantity you wish to order.

When you are done shopping, proceed to checkout.

WHAT ARE THE COURIER OPTIONS?

At checkout you will be required to select courier information.

Here are the three courier options explained:

1. COLLECTION FROM BRACKENFELL

Please note that your order will not be ready for collection immediately after your order has been placed.

Orders for collection have a turnaround time of 3-4 business days in order for us to prepare the order for collection.

Orders need to be paid upon placing the order before it will be processed.

2. OWN COURIER SERVICE

Should you want to make use of your own courier services, this option will need to be selected at checkout. The fee payable on this option is to cover the packaging time and expenses. Please note that we do not take any responsibility for lost or damaged plants once it's been collected by your courier service of choice.

All orders placed for courier - whether it is your own courier or ours - need to be placed by Thursday 15:00 for courier on the next Tuesday. The reason for this is that we take the plants out on a Friday, let them dry out over the weekend and package them on a Monday.

3. THE COURIER GUY

The flat rate for courier is R150.00 and that includes packaging. However, should your area not be covered by The Courier Guy's Standard Rates - or should your box size exceed this rate - we will send you an invoice with the balance of the courier fee to be settled.

WHEN WILL I GET MY ORDER?

COURIER/ OWN COURIER

All orders are dispatched within 5 business days unless otherwise arranged.

COLLECTION

Should the order be for collection, the order will be ready within 3-4 business days of placing your order. Once your order is ready for collection, you'll receive a notification from us.

SEED ORDERS

Should the order consist of only seeds, the order will be ready to courier/collect within 3-4 business days.

HOW ARE PLANTS PACKAGED?

COURIER/OWN COURIER:

All plants are dried and will be sent bare root. The plants are wrapped in tissue paper individually and then secured within a cardboard box. No plastic will be used.

COLLECTION:

All plants that are ordered for collection will be packed in an open box, bare root - unless otherwise requested at checkout.

WHAT OTHER PLANTS DO YOU HAVE?

The answer to this will always be:

If you don't see it on our site, we do not have it available to sell. All the plants that we are selling will always be on the website. Please do not Whatsapp queries relating to plants not listed in our online store.

HOW DOES THE PRICING WORK?

The plants listed on our website are divided into categories according to price.

GENERAL STOCK

This is the species that we grow and supply to garden centres on a wholesale prices, now also available to you.

LIMITED SELECTION

These are the limited, special plants we have available for sale. These plants are sold in limited quantities and might not always be available. Their prices will vary according to species and does not form part of our wholesale stock/pricing.

HOW DO I SOW THE SEEDS?

You'll receive an instruction leaflet with your seed order to guide you every step of the way.

If you have ordered seeds and are unsure during the sowing process you are welcome to send us a WhatsApp and we'll guide you to the best of our ability to ensure good germination.

T&C'S

The following terms and conditions apply when placing an order with us:

1. If you make use of your own courier service, we do not take any responsibility relating to the plants, transportation, handling or damage once it has left our property.

2. All plants will be dried and packaged properly upon sending them away with courier. We will not be liable for losses in any one of the following instances:

- The courier cannot get hold of you to deliver your parcel for more than 2 consecutive days

- You have used your own courier services

- You have not repotted the plants in a timeous fashion after receiving them

3. Any discount vouchers, codes and promotions that are done on this website is only for online redemption and will not be valid at the nursery unless stipulated otherwise. No discount codes may be exchanged for cash or plants that are unrelated to the offer at the given time.

4. No orders will be processed until payment has been received. No plants will be held aside unless they have been paid for in full.

5. Seed purchases are at own risk as the germination ratio is 70-80% depending on the conditions. We will use our discretion when it comes to refunding seeds that have not germinated - if the client has sown the seeds in the right conditions, and followed the correct process
