Gymnocalycium saglionis

Common Name(s)/Synonym(s): Giant Chin Cactus

Origin: Native to Argentina.

Description: This solitary dull green to almost blueish/green stemmed slow growing cactus is almost cylindrical and flattened. They grow up to 40cm in diameter and up to 90cm tall. Spines are 3cm to 4cm long and become red in colour when wet. 

Care: They do best in sunny conditions, but must be protected from excessive and sun in summer. They should be planted in a well draining soil mix, let the soil dry out in between watering.

*These plants are sold/couriered bare root without the pot and soil. Currently planted in 7.5cm square pots.
