Kalanchoe longiflora
Kalanchoe longiflora
Common Name(s)/Synonym(s): Long-flower Kalanchoe, Tugela Cliff-Kalanchoe
Origin: Native to South Africa.
Description: A sparse succulent shrublet with 4-angled decumbent branches. Branches are fleshy, but woody at the base and can grow to 40cm long. The thick bloomed greyish/green leaves often have pinkish to reddish margins. The leaves are shaped like a limpet shell with a sharp or rounded tip, a wedge-shaped base, and rounded teeth along the upper part of the margins.
Care: They look their best in partial sunlight or light shade and prefer bright locations in their growing season. They should be planted in a well draining soil and care should be taken when watering in the hotter seasons when they are mostly dormant. Let the soil dry out in between watering.
*These plants are sold/couriered bare root without the pot and soil. All plants are approximately the same size as in the photo, for reference, the pots in the photos are 7.5cm.
