Mammillaria backebergiana

Common Name(s)/Synonym(s): Mammillaria fertilis 

Origin: Native to Mexico.

Description: An attractive green stemmed cactus with spirally arranged tubercles tipped with yellowish, brownish/yellow spines. The stems can grow up to 30cm tall, spherical at first, becoming cylindrical with age. Each areole bears 8 to 12 radial and 1 to 3 central spines

Care:  They do best in sunny conditions and require light shade in the hottest months. They should be planted in a well draining soil which should be left to dry in between watering. 

*These plants are sold/couriered bare root without the pot and soil. Currently planted in 10cm square pots.
