Origin: Native to Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay and Argentina.
Description: A dark green stemmed cactus, with a short spherical depression reaching up to 20cm tall and up to 15cm diameter. The apex is woolly and sometimes depressed. The 17 to 22 ribs are sharp with areoles that bear radial spines which are yellowish, straight or curved backwards and up to 2cm long.
Care: They do best in sunny conditions and require light shade in the hottest months. They should be planted in a well draining soil which should be left to dry in between watering.
*These plants are sold/couriered bare root without the pot and soil. Currently planted in 7.5cm square pots.
