Astrophytum asterias ‘Super Kabuto’ (Mixed trio pot)

Common Name(s)/Synonym(s): Sand Dollar Cactus, Texas Star Cactus

Origin: A cultivar of Astrophytum asterias.

Description: A small cactus with a solitary, spherical, apically depressed stem with usually 8 ribs, white extra-areolar hair tufts, and a mosaic of extensive white spots that make the plant look intensely maculate. It is one of the most popular cultivars with many forms with different patterns of spots available.

Care: They do best in sunny conditions and require regular watering in growing season. They need a fairly dry winter to avoid root rot, so should be planted in a well draining soil mixture.

*These plants are sold/couriered bare root without the pot and soil. Currently planted in 7.5cm square pots.
