Matucana aureiflora var. elata

Common Name(s)/Synonym(s): Submatucana aureiflora var. elata

Origin: Native to Peru.

Description: A flattened to globular cactus that is almost identical to the standard Matucana aureiflora apart from slightly longer spines. Usually a solitary stem but may clump with age. The stem grows up to 10cm tall and 12cm in diameter.

Care: They do best in sunny positions. They should be planted in a deep pot with well draining soil to accommodate the tap root. Water sparingly and keep them completely dry in winter.

*These plants are sold/couriered bare root without the pot and soil. Currently planted in 7.5cm square pots.
