Astrophytum asterias (Mixed trio pot)

Common Name(s)/Synonym(s): Sand Dollar Cactus, Sea Urchin Cactus

Origin: Native to Mexico and the USA.

Description: A small, spineless cactus with a solitary spherical, apically depressed dark green stem with 5 to 11 (generally 8) ribs and woolly areoles. The stem grows up to 6cm in diameter. 

Care:  They do best in sunny conditions and require regular watering in growing season. They need a fairly dry winter to avoid root rot, so should be planted in a well draining soil mixture.

*These plants are sold/couriered bare root without the pot and soil. Currently planted in 7.5cm square pots.
