Common Name(s)/Synonym(s): Bishop’s Cap, Astrophytum myriostigma subsp. glabrum

Origin: A form of Astrophytum myriostigma.

Description: A spineless cactus with a spherical to cylindrical, usually solitary, quadrangular stem when young and becoming columnar with age. The stem grows up to 90cm tall and 10cm in diameter.

Care:  They do best in sunny conditions and require regular watering in growing season. They need a fairly dry winter to avoid root rot, so should be planted in a well draining soil mixture.
